Hello and welcome to Tamiscal High School!

My name is Corbett Elsen and I am the Principal of Tamiscal, home of the Firebirds!  I most recently came from Tamalpais High School where I served as an Assistant Principal and from Drake High School where I taught mathematics.  I am starting my 5th year as Principal at Tamiscal and this will be my 1st year as also Principal at San Andreas High School.

I’m originally from Michigan and went to school at Northwestern University just north of Chicago. I feel honored and blessed to be part of a team of educators, parents, and students who provide alternative means to a rigorous, personalized education for those with a wide-range of opportunities and challenges.

I look forward to meeting and working with each of you over the coming months and years!

 Hello and Welcome,

My name is Lisa Jimenez and I am the new assistant principal of Alternative Education. I most recently came from Oakland Unified School District where I served as Director of Leadership and High School Instruction. Prior to my work in Oakland Unified, I worked as a principal, English Language Learner Coordinator, and teacher.

I grew up in West Marin. I completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of California Santa Cruz and then my master’s degree at the University of California Berkeley. I am passionate about creating equitable school systems that serve all students with a high degree of engagement and rigor.
