
![]() GED Test Schedule 2011-2012 The GED test is offered each month at Tam Adult School. Required Pre Registration: Please allow at least one hour for this process. February 27, 2012 - 4:00 pm March 19, 2012 - 4:00 pm April 16, 2012 - 4:00 pm May 14, 2012 - 4:00 pm June 4, 2012 - 4:00 pm GED Test Dates: January 24 & 25, 2012 February 28 & 29, 2012 March 27 & 28, 2012 April 24 & 25, 2012 May 22 & 23, 2012 June 12 & 13, 2012 Applicant must bring current photo ID and $135.00 in exact amount of cash, money order or check. Checks made payable to: Tam Adult School. No credit cards accepted. GED Registration & Information Session GED registration sessions are held most Mondays at 4:00 pm, the week prior to the testing week. All those interested in taking the GED exam MUST participate in this required pre-registration. In compliance with GED/ETS regulations, students must complete enrollment paperwork, pay the GED fee of $135.00, and complete the demographic portion of the answer documents in advance of the exam. The testing fee of $135.00 must be paid in either exact amount of cash, money order or check, credit cards are not accepted. Students MUST also present a valid Government issued ID, such as driver's license or passport, in order to participate in the registration and testing process. GED Fee Waivers All students who complete 15 hours of preparation time through Tam Adult School, are eligible to receive a $35.00 discount on the GED exam! GED Testing Conditions There are no more than 15 students permitted in each testing administration. There is one GED examiner and proctor in the exam room during testing. GED testing is conducted over 2 days to accommodate the 7.5 hours of testing time. Students may choose to take the exam in it's entirety over two days, or select just the test subjects they feel prepared to take. TAS advises that all students take our free prepartory classes prior to taking the exam. Student Scores & Test Retakes Students may re-take the exam or specific test no more than 2 times per year. Students must pass each of the five tests (Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Mathematics & Science) with a minimum score of 410 per section AND an average score no lower then 450. GED Scores: Online Access Students have access to their scores online within a week of taking the exam. When scores become available to staff at Tam Adult School, a score report is printed and mailed to each student. Students who take the GED and do not pass, are strongly advised to participate in GED prep classes, before attempting to take the test again.
