Tam Adult School in partnership with Boston Reed College, is offering the above medical classes in Larkspur in January 2012.
These programs are designed to provide fast-paced training to prepare students for the healthcare workforce. Programs are conveniently offered with schedules designed for busy adults. Students will experience ahands-onexternship at a local healthcare facility. Textbooks, classroom materials and externship placement are included with the program fee.
Pre-requisites: Minimum 18 years of age and high school completion or its equivalent. Students need competency in, or completion of a basic computer operations course. Students will be required to have access to the Internet, printing capabilities and an email address. Prior to placement in an externship, students will need to show proof of completion of CPR for the Healthcare Provider course, a health examination, including TB testing and submission of a resume.
The Pharmacy Technician program requires a Math and English preassessment test be administered during the first class meeting, and the Phlebotomy Technician will be given an English pre-assessment test to assure student success.
