Free Early-Bird College Essay Writing Workshop - Wednesday, May 20, from 7-8 PM

Join Maggy Hughes for an overview of the college application essay writing process: from generating ideas, to creating a first draft, to revising and editing the draft.  We will review the prompts for the Common Application personal statement (used by most private schools) and for the UC system.

The summer is the ideal time to write college essays because students are often more relaxed and have more time to reflect and write creatively.  We hope to provide you with a process that will help you write powerful, memorable essays, and to inspire you to begin over the summer.

Parents are welcome to attend.  Call the Corte Madera Library at 415-924-3515 for more information.

Study Hall hours June 8-10

Students are welcome to stay and study until 11PM, and we'll offer refreshments after closing to the general public at 9.
