Tam High Mock Trial provides students the opportunity to engage with significant legal concepts in a competitive, authentic environment. Team members grow emotionally and intellectually, gaining confidence in themselves and learning to value their ideas. Students on the team have specific roles in the courtroom, from witness to attorney to bailiff and clerk. Tam High Mock Trial has been met with success on multiple levels, winning the Marin County competition for the past 21 years, as well as the state competition in both 2009 and 2005, and the national championship in 2005. In 2016, the team placed third at state competition out of over four hundred teams.
Our official competition season begins in January, with practices beginning in September. Team members travel all over California to scrimmage and compete against other teams in preparation for our Marin County competition. We love seeing members of our community in the audience— affiliated with the team or not— and observers are welcome at County competition on January 28 and February 4 of 2017.
Tryouts are at the beginning of each school year. We’re looking for motivated applicants- no legal knowledge required! For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
