CLASSROOM MODIFICATIONS

• Pacing
  Set up student notebook with academic goals and expectations for the day/week/month (see IEP)
  
  
• Presentation
  Match with individual needs (see IEP), alternative instruction, texts and/or materials
  
  
• Assignments
  Design projects/assignments that follow class unit but also match student’s interests and abilities (see IEP)
  
  
• Assessment
  Alternative assessment (oral, short quizzes,etc), less weight given to tests, exams designed by Special Ed. teacher
  
  
• Communication
  Weekly contact with Instructional Assistant, Special Ed. Teacher, and parents
  
  
• ALWAYS
  Obtain copy of IEP and collaborate with Special Education teacher and Instructional Aide
