of the technology proficiency exam and graduation requirement have been the subject of much discussion both within our district and in our communities.  The recommendation to suspend the requirement was based on the recognition that our students come to us as “digital natives,” and that the proficiency exam is not in alignment with our district mission or the recently developed applied technology program goals, both of which emphasize the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the 21^st century.
