The Tamalpais Union High School District Board of Trustees and the Citizens for Tam District High Schools Committee would like to sincerely thank voters in our eighteen central and southern Marin communities who recognized Measure B as a sensible investment in local education.  Community support for our schools was overwhelmingly demonstrated by a 72.94% approval of the straight renewal of our parcel tax, which has been in place since 1989.

The Tam District has a long history of support from our citizens who, despite a very difficult economy, demonstrated that maintaining outstanding local high schools remains a high priority.  High levels of academic achievement at Tamalpais, Redwood, Sir Francis Drake, Tamiscal, and San Andreas are a direct reflection of the quality of our staff, the degree of involvement and support of parents, and financial support from the entire high school district community.  Thanks to you, our schools will remain assets that distinguish our cities and towns, help maintain property values, and attract new families to our communities.

Once again, thank you for your overwhelming support of our schools.  We are honored to continue to serve our communities through a commitment to continuous improvement and high levels of learning for every student.

Sincerely,

Laurie Kimbrel, Ed.D.
Superintendent
