Working here for the past two years has helped transform me from a boy to a responsible young man. What makes Mauro's special is the fact that it’s a small business that feeds a lot of people without doing any advertising. What really attracts the people to Mauro’s are the reasonable prices for such high quality food, which consists of veggies, meats, and of course pasta. A slice of hot cheesy pizza costs three dollars and fifty cents, and for the entrees, the prices range from anywhere from eight dollars and fifty cents to twelve dollars. What separates Mauro's Pasta from all of the other pizza places in Marin is the fact that they make everything from scratch, including the pasta. Another reason why you should visit Mauro's for your next lunch or dinner would be to enjoy the wide varieties of entrees such as the Beef Fillet Medallions, Rigatoni Meat Sauce, Eggplant or Chicken Parmigiana, Penne Arrabiata, and the lasagna dishes. And if you are over twenty one you may also want to enjoy a glass of our finest varieties of wines.
Every time you exit the restaurant, you get the feeling that your money was well spent. The best time to go enjoy a slice of pizza would usually be either around lunch time or after school. And the best time to enjoy the delicious entrees such as the pasta would be around dinner time. Although Mauro’s Pasta makes delicious pizza and pasta, they are mainly known for their cheesy, tasty bread sticks. The best time to grab a breadstick before they’re all gone would be around 11:30 AM, or at some point in the middle of the day. What makes Mauro's different from all of the other pizza places in Marin is their pizzas, which are crafted by hand. Each in one of their pies begins with their exceptional yeast-leavened dough, which they prepare daily by using organic flour for delicious flavor and perfect texture. Mauro's house-made tomato sauce is slow cooked using Italian tomatoes and locally grown organic vegetables and herbs. Mauro's also uses the highest quality cheeses and Hobb's smoked meats.
To reach Mauro's Pasta from Highway 101, take exit on 452 toward Central San Rafael, turn west (left from the south, right from the north) onto Third Street, and follow that until, at a slight right turn, it becomes Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in downtown San Anselmo. In about a mile, Mauro’s Pasta will be on the left.
