    ACADEMIC GOALS FOR THE MONTH:

    Make sure you have contact information/web site, etc., for every teacher in case you are out and need assistance clarifying an assignment. Seek help directly from teachers if you are struggling in class.

    Maintain rigorous work ethic and good grades in order to meet your personal & academic goals.

    Use every Tutorial for academic support.

    COLLEGE/CAREER GOALS:

    Research early decision/early action application deadlines.

    Naviance  Sign up for College Visits (fall only-go to at least 10).  These are great opportunities to get information and meet college admissions reps

    If letters of recommendation are required for college, make requests in person to teachers/counselor

    If you need to re-take any college exams, register now.  All SAT/ACT exams must be complete by December

    Finalize college list on Naviance.  Add all colleges to your “Colleges I’m Thinking About” list

    SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL GOALS FOR THE MONTH:

    Attend Club Day and select one or two clubs to attend.  Sep 09 at 10 am!

    Focus on Balance: family time, academics, athletics, friends & personal time

    PARENTING TIPS/OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE MONTH:

    Attend the Ross Valley Healthy Community Collaborative (RVHCC) meeting.

    Attend the Drake 101 Parenting Event.  Topics include:

    Set up weekly meeting time with your Senior to check in on college applications and to offer support for their process

    Read Uncommon Sense for Parents with Teenagers or Surviving High School,  by Mike Riera, PhD
