The mission of the Tamalpais Automotive Technology program is to enable students to:

1. acquire an understanding of the operation of mechanical systems (head)
2. gain proficiency in entry-level automotive service skills (hands) 
3. practice the habits and attitudes of professionalism needed for success in any field (heart)
