TUESDAY 3/24/2020Parametric Word Problems Day 1Follow Example 5 on page 692 to set up for projectile motion. For motion that is not projectile (example 6), note that the y values are just numbers that are made up.This is because if you want to see it on your calculator, you need to give each motion it's own elevation or you won't be able to see it. You also have to pick a y value thatis greater than zero, otherwise you won't see the motion on your calulator because the line will run on bottom of screen. This is why they made the y values 2 and 4, but there is no magic to choosing 2 or 4. You just need to select two different values greater than zero for the y portions. Lastly, you will want to set the mode on your calculator from sequential to simultaneous to see the motion happening at once. The calcualtor does a very crude job of demonstration but it is still worth doing.
