    Bio:
    Americ Alvarado is currently the Lead Certified Athletic Trainer for Redwood High School through the Center for Integrative Health and                Wellness at Marin Health. This is the fist year in collaboration with Marin Health and Redwood but it will be his 10th year as the athletic trainer at    Redwood High School. Prior to being at Redwood, he was the graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Men’s gymnastic and Women’s crew team at Stanford. Americ received his Bachelors in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from San Diego State University then received his Masters in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from San Jose State University. He is currently married with a son and enjoys playing basketball and golf in his free time.

      

     
     What is an Athletic Trainer?:
      Athletic Trainers (ATs) are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians. The services provided by ATs
      comprise prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries
      and medical conditions.
