The Fat Boy’s Finger
There was a sadness sleepily hovering,
Over the humble abode
Lying at the top of the hill
Inside the house,
A fat boy’s finger
Energetically danced
Across the table,
Looking for a toothpick
The boy’s tongue furiously swung from side to side
Trying to get the crumbs
Wedged between his teeth
The chair suddenly jumped
A crack
A crumble
And a thump
The boy lay on the floor
Next to three severed chair legs and a broken chair.
Gasping for air
As if he were running a marathon
Disoriented,
He attempted to get up
A useless attempt
With no luck,
He stumbled and fell to the ground.
Frustration hovered
Over the humble abode
Lying at the top of the hill
