Winter Night
The sky cries because the cold has come,
drenching the land in its tears
in a dismal world.
The rain dances as it blows in the wind,
in a tumbling swirl
across the gray sky.
The trees listen because they have nothing to say,
swaying in the wind
through the chaos of the storm.
The wind wails because it is lonely,
lost,
it wanders through the dark.
And then, the sun
smiles upon the new day,
saving the world from despair
and wrapping its warm rays,
over the bleak winter landscape.
