Advanced Placement Biology is a year-long college level introductory Biology course taught to high school students. The course has undergone significant revision with a new exam to be administered in May 2019. The course is based on four Big Ideas: Evolution, Energy Transformations, Information Transfer, and Interactions. There will also be emphasis on Inquiry based Laboratory Investigations, many of which are student-directed, and the infusion mathematics and use of models will be emphasized whenever possible.
