My love of the Spanish language and travel sent me on a life-changing path. After graduating with a Bachelor's in Spanish and studying abroad in Spain for two of those years, I returned to the U.S. where I realized that I wanted to share my passion for Spanish with others. And so I obtained my teaching credential and began teaching Spanish in 2004. However, my wanderlust had not finished with me yet and so I moved again to Spain and spent three more adventurous years working and living there. I came back to the U.S. in 2009, and I began teaching Spanish again in the classroom. In 2011, I accepted a position at Drake, and here I have finally found a place to grow my roots. It is a great pleasure for me to come to work at Drake each day and share my love of the Spanish language with young, eager minds. Aside from teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading, listening to and playing/writing music, cooking, getting out in nature, and spending quality time with family and friends.
