Dear Parents and Students,
Please read the following information regarding our upcoming minimum day on Wednesday, October 14th. The school day starts at 8:30 and ends at 12:30, the Marin Transit bus schedule has been altered for the afternoon on this day. Student attendance is required on this day.
All freshmen should report directly to the Main Gym for Link Crew activities.
Throughout the day freshmen will participate in activities led by Mentor Teachers and Link Leaders. The activities will focus on strengthening connections with peers and Mentors which will continue to help orient students toward a successful high school experience. Students will be guided through a mix of discussions and physical activities while rotating between class, mentor, and house groupings. The entire day is designed to provide both meaningful and fun ways for students to continue to build community at Redwood.
All sophomores, juniors and seniors who are not taking the PSAT should select teacher led workshops on an array of topics which will be offered on this day. To view the available workshops please click HERE. These workshops will be open for sign-ups on Sunday, October 11th beginning at 8pm. Students should sign up for a total of three 70 minute workshops.
All sophomores and juniors who are taking the PSAT will find their testing room assignment posted, by student ID number, in the hallways near the Counseling Office and the Library, by the end of the day on Monday, October 12th. More detailed information about the test to follow.
The schedule for the week of October 12th is as follows (changes in bold):
Monday, October 12th – a regular Monday schedule
Tuesday, October 13th – a regular Tuesday schedule
Wednesday, October 14th – Minimum Day (8:30-12:30)
Thursday, October 15th – a regular Thursday schedule
Friday, October 16th – a Wednesday block schedule
