• Redwood High School PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Qualifying Test)

The PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Qualifying Test) will be offered on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 7:45 am - 11:00 am (end time is approximate) at Redwood High School. This is the only time this optional exam is offered during the 2022-23 school year. The window to purchase the exam is available online now (Redwood Webstore), or in person from Tuesday, September 6th through Friday, October 7th at 3:30 pm SHARP (no exceptions). PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

This will be the last year that the PSAT and SAT will be in paper format. Beginning next year, the College Board will be offering both tests in a digital format. Therefore, we encourage all juniors planning to take the SAT this year to consider taking the PSAT in October. For our sophomores, next year’s digital PSAT will better reflect the digital SAT, but this testing session can provide an opportunity to practice taking a College Board exam.

Students may sign up for the PSAT online at the Redwood Webstore (open now, closes at 3:30 pm October 7) or in person in the Redwood Attendance Office (Room 105), September 6th - 3:30 pm October. 7th (before school, during breaks and lunch, or after school) with $40.00 cash or check. The deadline for sales is firm and there are no exceptions granted.

Please sign-up early as there are a limited number of tests available.

Students who sign up for the exam may pick up a copy of the College Board PSAT/NMSQT Student Guide in the Attendance Office in room 105.

The exam date is October 15, 2022, from 7:45 am - 11:00 am (end time is approximate). Please arrive on time in order to start the test on time.

For more information about the test, please refer to the College Board website: www.collegeboard.org.
