     2017 / 2018 Season Re-cap

    Athletes and Parents,

WOW!! Words simply cannot express how much we coaches enjoyed this incredible lacrosse season with you all!!

First, I want to take the chance to thank all of you for a truly unforgettable season. All of the parents were so supportive and your daughters are LUCKY to have you. The teams and coaches could not have done it without all of the endless encouragement! THANK YOU AGAIN Athlete Parents!

To say that this year has been eventful is a major understatement! The Varsity team had back-to-back regular season losses only once and finished the regular season with a five-game winning streak against some very tough opponents. The Girls Varsity team finshed the season with 14 wins & 8 losses; finishing 3rd in MCAL rankings & raning as high as 9th in NCS Division 1 (highest ranking since 2013/2014.) All the coaches are super proud of the entire program!

Each player brought a unique attribute that merged together to form an unstoppable unit. Game after game they never ceased to amaze me with their unrivaled will to come out with the win. It was an honor to witness the growth that each of you made this year. The amount of pride that I feel being a part of such an amazing program is incomparable. Be proud of yourselves, you all worked so hard. The most important aspect of this team’s accomplishments is that we did it all as a team and we had fun in the process.
This year we see five (5) seniors depart the Girls Redwood Lacrosse Program: Zoe Stachowski, Sofia Kashefi, Devon Cusack, Violet Loo, and Captain Caroline Watkins. Each lady brought an amazing amount of passion, energy, leadership and love for not only Redwood Girls Lacrosse; but for their teammates as well.
The Redwood Girls Lacrosse program will miss these ladies; and look forward to them returning during Alumni activities in the future!
We look forward to the 2019 season and building upon the successes and failures we experienced during the 2018 season to make us indivudally and collectively stronger as a team.
    Go Redwood - Go Giants!
