Emergency PreparednessThe safety of our students and staff is Tamalpais Union High School District's (TUHSD) highest priority. TUHSD has taken a proactive approach to preparedness and incident management.
The District works in partnership with local law enforcement, public safety and county emergency management to prepare for emergency conditions in our schools. Each school has developed and implemented a comprehensive plan for responding to a variety of natural disasters and hazardous situations including earthquake, fire, bomb threat, and hazardous materials incidents. Each schools plan follows the district's template which are based on and adhere to the FEMA National Incident Management System,. These plans have been reviewed by local police and fire department officials as well as the district's administration teamStaff and students practice appropriate responses including evacuation and shelter-in-place. Staff members have been assigned specific tasks they are responsible for during an emergency situation. Our facilities are equipped with emergency supplies, radios and equipment that may be necessary to shelter students for two or three days.
If you have questions about your student's school's safety plan, please contact your principal.
