DRAMA 1-2 Students work on the basics of the craft of acting and working in an ensemble. The importance of self-discipline, teamwork, personal responsibility and focused attention are stressed. Students are introduced to basic acting techniques, exercises in pantomime, movement, voice, and analysis of dramatic literature from the standpoint of production.(Second Semester) Students expand their focus to include improvisation, movement styles for the theater such as stage combat and dance, voice, and more sophisticated approaches to character development. Students in Drama 1 and 2 present a One Act Festival at the end of each semester as their final project.
