Tam HS students must be enrolled in at least 6 classes but may choose up to 8 (some classes, such as PE, Yearbook, and Stagecraft are offered before or after the regular school day as a 0 or 8th period).  Schedules are created based on requests, space availability, and period offerings; additionally, some courses utilize prerequisites and/or placement exams to determine eligibility for enrollment.  Remember:

• Course requests are not guaranteed; be thoughtful when choosing your alternate courses
• Taking two or more AP/Honors classes requires a significant amount of time, energy, and commitment.  Consider your extra-curricular activities and responsibilities as well as your areas of interest and strength when choosing a rigorous schedule; create a balanced schedule for you
• If you change your mind after the scheduling window closes, your request will be added to a waitlist; we may or may not be able to accommodate changes based on staffing and seat availability
• If you change your mind after the school year starts, options are typically much more limited and only available in the first two weeks; be thoughtful about your choices now
