High School Summer Career Academies & Info for Seniors attending COM next fall (sent 3/31/21)

Dear Students & Families,

Each year College of Marin (COM) offers Summer Career Academies for all high school students. Some examples of this year's offerings include Education & Social Justice CareersBuilding Academy: Architecture, Engineering & Construction, and Introduction to Health Occupations.

Classes will be online and the application opens tomorrow, April 1 and closes on May 1. Students must attend a mandatory orientation on either May 18 from 5:00-6:30 pm or May 22 from 11:00 am-12:30 pm. Attached is a flyer with more information, including the dates and additional course offerings.

Other news from COM is specifically for seniors. If you plan to attend COM next fall and have not yet started their online application, there is a workshop tomorrow at 2:45 pm. Here is the Zoom link: https://marin-edu.zoom.us/j/98731640471   Meeting ID: 987 3164 0471

COM is also offering two different Summer Bridge programs for graduating seniors, one specifically for students needing additional ESL support. The purpose of Summer Bridge is to allow students to learn about college and pathway options, find out how to transfer to a four-year college/university, meet new students, etc. More information is available on the attached flyers.

I hope many of you will take advantage of these amazing opportunities.

Take care,
