Tomorrow's New World of College Admissions Testing event (sent 12/2/19)

Dear Students & Parents,

This is a friendly reminder about tomorrow's event that is geared specifically for sophomores, juniors, and their parents:

The New World of College Admission Testing: Insights for the Classes of 2021 & 2022

Tuesday, December 3, 5:30-7:00 pm in the Student Center

In this session, Sue McLaughlin, Compass Education Group's Director of Recruiting & Staff Development, will be sharing up-to-date insights on the following and more:

  • SAT or ACT: Making your best choice
  • Understanding PSAT scores and what they project*
  • Test scores’ role and weight in college admissions
  • Why colleges’ testing policies vary so widely
  • Debunking the most pervasive myths about testing and admission
  • The relevance of Subject Tests at elite colleges
  • Sane and successful calendaring of testing and test prep
  • Hallmarks of high-quality test prep and strategies for self-study

This is an annual event for sophomore and junior families, so if any Grade 10 students and parents are not quite ready for this topic, you will have another chance to attend next year.

*Please note that students who took the October 19 PSAT/NMSQT will NOT receive their results at tomorrow's event. I will send another email soon with details on how and when students can access those scores.

Thank you.
